Pastor Michael Vaughn was appointed to Gate City United Methodist Church in June 2021. He previously served for 7 years at Telford UMC, 2 years with Telford & Asbury UMC Charge, and 4 years at Embreeville UMC. Michael and Heather are married and have 5 children: Ashley, Dylan, Hannah, Emily, and Anthony.

Pastor Michael is an Ordained Edler of the Holston Conference. He has been in full-time pastoral ministry since 2014 after he left a 21-year career with Pizza Hut. Michael and Heather are excited for the ministry opportunities in Gate City and for all the ways they can work together to share God's love with the community.
